Sold down hard, but still earning
As each market closes, a screener runs against it looking for names that have been sold down hard. Here are the three most oversold on the US screen from the last run.
Most oversold · US · 10 Oct
All 83 names the US screen turned up today — and the other 9 markets — are in the app.
RSI(14) from the US screen · snapshot taken . The app rescreens every trading day, so these change; a reading under 30 describes momentum, not a forecast.
What “oversold” means here
The Relative Strength Index compares the size of recent gains with recent losses on a scale of 0 to 100. Readings under 30 are conventionally described as oversold. It is a description of momentum, not a forecast — a falling knife can stay under 30 for months.
Why pair it with earnings
A low reading on a company whose business is deteriorating is just an accurate reading. The screen is more interesting when the price has fallen and the fundamentals have not, which is why the app shows both side by side.
Three names from one market, once a day. The full list, the other ten markets we screen, and the daily charts behind each reading are in BuySignal.

Source: SEC EDGAR, Form 13F-HR and Form 4 — public domain, reproduced in full. Holders counts only funds with a high-conviction position — 5% or more of their reported 13F portfolio — so it is neither the total number of institutions holding the stock nor every fund we track that holds it. Adding and Trimming are the largest moves by reported value and are capped upstream at ten each, so a “10” means “ten or more”. 13F carries up to a 45-day reporting delay and options are excluded. Company names are EDGAR's own spelling.

Read the book before it moves
A live Level 2 book, running in your browser. Watch the depth build on one side and drain from the other — that asymmetry is the whole skill.
What the two columns are
Best bid and offer · resting size · the spread between them
The bids column is the buy side — prices buyers have posted, best at the top. The asks column is the sell side — prices sellers have posted, best at the top. The top line of each is the one that matters: the best bid and the best offer. The gap between them is the spread, printed under the two columns, and it is what you give up the moment you cross instead of waiting. The figure beside each price is the size resting there, and the shading behind it is that size measured against the largest resting order on either side, so you can see at a glance where the book is thick and where it is paper.
Depth is not a promise
Depth is the size sitting at each price, and it tells you roughly what it would take to push the price one level. A thick level absorbs; a thin one gaps. What it does not tell you is intent — resting orders can be pulled in the time it takes to click, and a wall that looks solid from a distance can be gone on approach. The demo above redraws the whole ladder about once a second, or once and then not again if your system asks for reduced motion. Either way the lesson is the same: the picture you are reading is already out of date.
What the tape adds
Every line under time and sales is a trade that has already happened, tagged with the side that crossed to get it done. A taker buy lifted the best offer; a taker sell hit the best bid. The book shows what people say they are willing to do, the tape shows what they actually did, and the two disagreeing — a heavy stack of bids while every print keeps landing on the bid — is worth more than either read on its own.
The demo just lets the book move. Scenario drills — iceberg orders, spoofing, thinning liquidity into the close — plus scoring and difficulty levels are in Order Book Trainer.

Up or down? Call three charts
Each chart is generated fresh in your browser, with the last two fifths of it held back. Call the direction, then see what happened.
Three charts to a round. The score counts calls, not money — there is no position size here, so being right by a tenth of a percent scores exactly the same as being right by twenty. Every chart is generated afresh when the page loads, which is also why there is nothing to look up afterwards.

How it works
Everyone starts with $10,000. Seasons run monthly. Orders fill in fifteen-minute batches, so reflexes do not help. At the close of the month each guild settles into a tier from bronze to diamond. Join a friend's guild with a six-digit invite code.
This season so far
- 104 accounts
- 21 guilds — 6 player, 15 AI
- 31 orders placed
- 77% fill rate
- 25 buys / 6 sells
Most-ordered names: AAPL 19 · GME 4 · SAP 2 · TSLA 2 · NVDA 2. Beta — numbers are small on purpose.
Here you get the fifteen AI guilds and where they stand. Joining the league with $10,000, forming a guild with friends and trading against them is TradeGuild.

Cash out before the candle that takes it all
A chicken race on a fictional chart. Every candle you hold for adds to the balance, until the one that wipes it out. Hold, or cash out — that is the only decision there is.
Three ways to play in the app
Fixed Rounds: survive a set number of rounds and post your best final balance. Chicken Race: no limit, keep pushing and cash out before the next crash. Moonshot: turn the starting stake into the target before a crash stops you at the line. Three candles arrive every turn, and you can buy, sell or sit it out.
Three kinds of chart
Blue chips move slowly and crash rarely. Growth stocks gain faster and drop harder. Meme coins put the moonshot and the rug-pull side by side. Every company and coin name in the game is a parody, and none of them is a real company or security.
The demo is one button and one rule. The three game modes, the three kinds of chart, your best runs and how many crashes you survived are in Candle Crash.

What a sum grows to, compounded
Compound interest is hard to do in your head, because every year earns on the years before it. Enter a sum, a rate and a number of years.
| Year | Compound | Simple | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10,500 | 10,500 | 0 |
| 2 | 11,025 | 11,000 | 25 |
| 3 | 11,576 | 11,500 | 76 |
| 4 | 12,155 | 12,000 | 155 |
| 5 | 12,763 | 12,500 | 263 |
| 6 | 13,401 | 13,000 | 401 |
| 7 | 14,071 | 13,500 | 571 |
| 8 | 14,775 | 14,000 | 775 |
| 9 | 15,513 | 14,500 | 1,013 |
| 10 | 16,289 | 15,000 | 1,289 |
Why the guess comes out low
Put 3,000,000 away at 5 percent for three years and the quick answer is 3,450,000 — three lots of 150,000. The right answer is 3,472,875, because the second and third years also earn on the interest already paid. The gap is small at three years and larger than the original sum at thirty.
The rule of 72
Divide 72 by the yearly rate and you get roughly the number of years a sum takes to double: about fourteen years at 5 percent, about ten at 7. It is an approximation, and the table above is the exact version of it.
The same calculation in a few taps on your phone is Moneyable, listed on the App Store as Compound Interest Calculator.

One hour, one call: predict up or down
A new battle opens every hour on Bitcoin and on the euro. You make one call before the timer runs out, and the price at the end of the hour settles it. Points only — there is no money in it.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Top of the hour | A new battle opens on BTC/USD and another on EUR/USD. |
| Before the timer runs out | You lock in one call on each: up or down. |
| During the hour | The live chart moves while you wait. |
| At the end of the hour | The price settles the round. A correct call banks points. |
| Afterwards | You see how every other player voted, and where you stand on the leaderboards. |
What you play for
- 2 markets — BTC/USD and EUR/USD
- 1-hour rounds
- player and country leaderboards
- win streaks and titles
- live chat with one-tap translation
- 70+ languages
Titles include Prophet, the one to earn, and Reverse Oracle, the one to dodge.
What it is not
NextTick is a game. You never deposit or withdraw money and you never trade a real asset. Prices are used only to settle each round, and none of them is reproduced on this page.
The next battle starts at the top of the hour. The live charts, the world vote and the leaderboards are in NextTick.
Three US stocks, one question
Every round shows three well-known American companies and their last official close. The only question is whether the next close will be higher or lower.
| Step | How a round works |
|---|---|
| The three | One household name, one NASDAQ stock and one Dow stock. |
| The base price | Each card shows the previous official close — the figure your call is judged against, never a moving price. |
| Your call | Higher or lower, on all three. |
| The lock | Predictions close when the US market opens. |
| The result | The official close settles it. An exact tie is a no-contest and costs nothing. |
How it scores
- 100 points per correct call
- streak bonuses at 3, 5, 10 and 20
- one miss resets the streak
- worldwide board, reset every Monday
Why close to close
Because the judgement compares one official close with the next, everyone in the world plays the same round on the same numbers, and no time zone has an edge. The split between higher and lower stays blurred until you have chosen, so the crowd cannot make the call for you.
This page describes the rules only. It shows no prices and names no stocks; rounds are settled in the app. Points have no cash value and nothing can be traded.
The rules fit on a page. The rounds themselves, the weekly leaderboard and your streak are in Stock Guess.
Ten seconds with an income statement
Most people can name the three financial statements. Fewer can open one and say what is going on. Here is one question of the kind the app asks.
| Sample company · income statement | This year | Last year |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | 1,200 | 1,000 |
| Cost of sales | 780 | 620 |
| Gross profit | 420 | 380 |
| Selling, general and administrative | 300 | 250 |
| Operating income | 120 | 130 |
Teaching material · figures are invented, in millions, and belong to no real company
Revenue grew 20 percent. Did the gross margin rise, hold or fall? — show the answer
It fell. Gross profit over revenue was 380 over 1,000, or 38 percent, last year, and 420 over 1,200, or 35 percent, this year. Cost of sales grew faster than revenue, and with overheads also up, operating income slipped from 130 to 120 in a year when sales rose by a fifth. The headline number went one way and the business went the other.
| Level | Choices | What the statement looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Three | A simplified statement with the important figures colour-coded. |
| Level 2 | Four | A plain, properly formatted table with two periods. No colour, no hints. |
| Level 3 | Five, select all that apply | A dense excerpt in the style of a real filing, with note references and figures in parentheses. |
A set is seven questions. The questions cover balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, ratio tables, segment breakdowns and guidance slides, and accounting terms can be shown under US GAAP, IFRS or Japanese GAAP names.
One question here. The timed sets, the answers highlighted on the statement itself and a chart of your accuracy by category are in Earnings Reading Trainer.
